Getting Fit for the Kids!

Stefan and Gideon

Stefan and Ashleigh are the wonderful, loving and dedicated Perth parents of two beautiful boys.

Their son, Miles, has a rare syndrome called 49XXXXY Syndrome, a type of chromosome abnormality characterised by the presence of 3 extra X chromosomes in males.

Kids Are Kids! are honoured to be by the families’ side in helping Miles to reach his full potential, through regular Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology home and centre based visits.

To raise awareness of rare chromosomal syndromes, particularly 49XXXXY Syndrome, Miles’ Father Stefan is participating in the Goodlife Rottnest Running Festival 2019 on 16 June and has chosen Kids Are Kids! as the sole beneficiary of all fundraising profits.

Stefan’s quest for a healthier lifestyle began last year when he decided to be alcohol free. Along with healthy eating and exercising each day Stefan is energetic and ready for the Goodlife Rottnest Running Festival just next month.

You can follow Stefan on his Facebook page ‘Get Fit for the Kids’ as he posts daily updates with his mate Gideon in preparation for the run and his quest for a healthier lifestyle.

We thank Stefan for choosing Kids Are Kids! as his fundraising beneficiary. Their aim is $2,000 – let’s help Stefan and Gideon reach their dollar goal! Donate online here.

Watch the clip here, where Stefan and Gideon match their $150 donation with 150 push ups.
