What variety of work can I expect?
No two days look the same at Kids Are Kids!.
All of our staff have the opportunity to work across a number of different programs and have variety in their caseload. We provide services with a transdisciplinary or multi-disciplinary approach and pride ourselves on the care and compassion that underpins our quality relationship-based services.
Early intervention
Kids Are Kids! has built our reputation for excellence providing evidence based early intervention to children with disabilities. Our ECEI approach involves a Key Worker model with a collaborative team approach including the child and their family as central to the team.
School-aged and high-school students
Many of the children and families we work with really benefit from our quality and relationship-based approach. Our team have extensive experience in services across the school aged years and provides an individualised approach.
Specialised projects with schools
Kids Are Kids! is a dynamic and innovative organisation and we have a number of different exciting programs and government contracts. We are committed to ensuring equity in access to services and seek opportunities to work with the most vulnerable families in our community, including families living in regional and remote areas through services provided using telehealth.
Where will I work?
Our staff can work from our centres in Bateman, Rockingham or Armadale and often a combination of two of these centres. We also have a service in Mount Barker which is staffed by therapists living in that region.
We may also offer hybrid opportunities to work from home and flexible working conditions to promote work life balance.
A lot of our services are provided in the community in the natural environment for the child. This may include client’s homes, schools, childcare and community facilities.
How will I be supported?
Kids Are Kids! believes that our staff are our most important asset, and that quality supervision, training and support is essential to ensure our therapists reach their full potential. We have a generous professional development budget and a supportive and dynamic team of experienced therapists to ensure all staff are supported through each stage of their career.
Kids Are Kids! also has a dedicated Graduate Program which includes:
- Individualised supervision plan with daily/ weekly check-ins with Line Manager.
- As a new graduate, a mentor to help you with any clinical questions at any point in time.
- Smaller caseload while your confidence grows.
- Structured induction program involving visits with staff in multiple disciplines.
