How you can help
As a not-for-profit organisation Kids Are Kids! relies on individual, community and corporate fundraising support to keep services affordable for families.
This support may be in the form of direct financial assistance through donations, membership, grants to subsidise specific programs, fundraising or volunteering.
Kids Are Kids! Is an endorsed Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status so any donation over $2 is tax deductible.
Support our Mobile Therapy Service
This brand new initiative supports high-need communities lacking in services to receive locally provided therapy services. The Mobile Therapy Service costs approximately $10,000 to run each year and financial support is critical to the provision of services to children.
Support our Centre Expansion Program
We are desperately short of space at our Centre in Bateman. We have been at our Bateman premises since 1997; and whilst small improvements have been made along the way we are always in need of funds to assist in the creation of additional therapy and administration areas to help service more families.
Support our Family Services Program
Kids are Kids! Family Services Program aims to provide informative, inspiring and motivating seminars and workshops for families to help families with grief, resilience, relationships and coping skills. Your financial contribution to this program will enable financially disadvantaged families to attend these events, learn new skills, make new friends and cope with the everyday demands of family life.
Sponsor a child to receive a Therapy Scholarship
The annual Therapy Scholarship Program provides therapy to children who otherwise cannot access services. In 2018 Kids Are Kids! were pleased to be able to offer ten therapy scholarships, with thanks to the generous support of The Accounting Department, Northern Trust, and the Apex Club of Perth. The scholarships range in value from $2000 to $5000. We hope to continue the program into 2020 with the assistance of corporate sponsorships.
You may have particular knowledge & skills that you are willing to share which could be of great benefit to Kids Are Kids! You may like to give your time on a one off or regular basis to assist staff with some of the everyday jobs involved in running the services & maintaining the centre.
Corporate Volunteering Events
Your organisation may like to hold a team building event where 5-20 staff complete a whole or half day project at Kids Are Kids! Activities are based around upgrading our tired premises and can range from painting or gardening to installing a flat-pack kitchen!
Kids Are Kids! relies heavily on fundraising events through the year to support the cost of service delivery. We hold various events and initiatives through the year, such as our Wine and Cheese Evening, Sausage Sizzles, Gala Dinner Event, Cadbury Easter Chocolate Fundraising, Entertainment Book and other activities as the opportunities arise to raise funds. We are always looking for people with new & dynamic ideas plus the “know how” make these events happen. Please contact us should you have any suggestions regarding products or services that may be able to assist us in our fundraising efforts.
