Jump Carey Early Development Playgroup Update
Posted in News -Kids Are Kids! therapists (Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists) have been visiting the Jump Carey Early Development playgroup to offer information and advice, as well as supporting families to access therapy services if needed.
Parents have engaged in the topics presented by therapists each week and value the opportunity to ask therapists questions. Discussions have covered many topics including language development in daily routines, strategies forco-regulation, trying new foods and play.
Therapists are available to answer questions and provide information for referral to early intervention services if required.
The feedback has been positive, with participants reporting that they feel safe and welcome. One parent noted:
“It is an amazing resource – so far I have chatted with the speech therapist, the physio and OT on different days and each time have been able to chat about a number of worries, thoughts or questions. Sometimes as a mum you have questions and no matter how much you Google or ask family, getting to someone qualified to answer your question can really bring peace of mind.”
Kids Are Kids! attendance at this playgroup has been made possible thanks to support from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation.
