New Kids Are Kids! Literacy Pilot Program at Waikiki Primary School

Posted in News -

Kids Are Kids! is thrilled to offer Waikiki Primary School in Rockingham our new pilot program to target the foundations of literacy to students with disabilities and/or developmental needs.

From Term 1, 2023, a Kids Are Kids! Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist will work in Waikiki Primary School alongside teachers to provide individual and class-based support for early childhood development and literacy.

The Kids Are Kids! team will identify students who are developmentally vulnerable through screening and assessment of language and literacy skills, provide individualized therapy in the classroom, small group or individual level, link eligible children to other funded services and provide training and support to teachers.

We are thrilled to offer this wonderful program to Waikiki Primary School and greatly appreciative of the Mazda Foundation in funding this program.
