Kids Are Kids! can continue providing Clinical Psychology services to families in remote and regional areas, at least until 31 January 2016, with the renewal of the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) contract.

CEO Jane Barker thanked the team for outstanding work which contributed to renewal of the contract, “I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you our telehealth team for your outstanding work providing innovative therapy services to children in remote and regional WA.  Over the 2 years we have been providing telehealth services you have developed a highly effective and efficient program from scratch”.

The Telehealth program at Kids Are Kids! reaches out to families in remote areas who otherwise wouldn’t be able to receive services due to travel expenses and the requirement to have leave from job responsibilities. Through internet and phone technology the Clinical Psychology team can guide, support and provide strategies to children and their families experiencing grief, stress or anxiety, developmental, behavioural and emotional issues or issues with schooling.

Kids Are Kids! look forward to  building on this great work to continue to develop our telehealth services and help children and families in regional WA continue to access quality therapy and support.
