At the recent Disability Expo held at The Perth Convention Centre on Monday 23rd March, 6 year old Riley* was the lucky winner of the Kids Are Kids! skill-based hamper worth $150. Riley* is diagnosed with Autism, language disorder and oral and motor dyspraxia. The hamper which was filled with toys and equipment to assist with gross and fine motor skills as well as sensory processing with help him to learn in a fun way. An overwhelming response of entries were received as attendees at the Expo approached the Kids Are Kids! booth to learn more about the services and programs available.
Riley’s* family are dedicated to his therapy and development with early intervention being a key to the milestones he is reaching today. Riley* will receive Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy for years to come; he is currently enjoying Year 1 and his parents are so thrilled with how far he has come.
