Bike Riding Group

The Bike Riding Program is designed for parents and carers who have children wanting to learn to ride a bike or need some extra help to build their confidence.

It’s for children with any level of experience and will provide parents/carers with the tools, strategies and support they need to help their children reach their bike riding potential.

In this program we cover:

  • How to get on/off your bike safely
  • How to steer your bike
  • Pedaling
  • How to ride on different surfaces, eg. Grass, footpaths
  • Transition from training wheels to no training wheels (if ready)
  • How/when to use your brakes
  • Road safety

The course includes three sessions over one week in the January school holidays. Parents/carers are expected to participate to support their child, and sessions will be facilitated by two Physiotherapists.

What to bring:

  • Bike
  • Helmet
  • Drink bottle
  • Snack
