Kids Are Kids! Launch New Program Thanks to the Feilman Foundation
Posted in Media Release, News -
Families of young children with disability often face additional barriers when it comes to accessing inclusive, high-quality childcare. Reliable childcare that can respond to their child’s individual needs enables parents and caregivers to maintain employment, pursue further education, manage family responsibilities, and look after their own wellbeing. It helps families stay connected and resilient.
For children with disability, inclusive childcare environments can also support early identification and access to intervention, giving children more opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
That’s why we’re thrilled to be working with up to five daycare centres to co-design and deliver practical training, coaching, and mentoring for educators. By working closely with each centre to understand their unique context and needs, our occupational therapists can provide support that is relevant, effective, and empowering for staff, leading to better outcomes for all children.
This program is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Feilman Foundation.
